ROBERT
FLEMING Jr., PRESIDENT & OWNER
Personal and Commercial Lines, Annuity, Crop, Life Agent. Rob started at the agency in 1989 selling property, casualty and crop insurance. In 1991 he became licensed to sell life and health insurance and in 1995, Rob was appointed Vice President of the agency. He has been active in the Rotary, Planning Commission, and the Village Council. He and his wife Karla have two children and reside in Breckenridge.
ROY
SHANKEL, VP
Property, Casualty, Annuity and Crop Agent. Roy joined as an associate in 1987, appointed manager in 1991 and later purchased the agency in 1993. Roy is a Viet Nam Veteran, served in the US Navy for four years, including deployment aboard the USS Ranger. He is a past president of Breckenridge Rotary, past member of the Jaycees and a life member of St. Louis Post 3055 V.F.W. Roy is a past president of the Gratiot County Farm Bureau, past president of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Association-Central Michigan (NAIFA). He is very recently retired as regional vice-president for NAIFA-Michigan. He is also the president of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fowler Michigan.
JAYNE
DROSTE, PERSONAL LINES AGENT
Jayne has worked in the insurance industry since 1989. She joined Breckenridge Insurance Agency in 1995 and became a licensed agent in property and casualty in 2005. She has three sons, Garrett, Curtis and Justin. Jayne is currently a member of the Gratiot County Chamber. She enjoys spending summers at the lake with family and friends.

RAYCHELLE
STORY, CROP INSURANCE PROCESSOR
Crop Insurance Processor. Raychelle came to Breckenridge Insurance Agency in 2006 working as File Clerk and Customer Service Representative. Raychelle's roll is assisting crop agents in processing crop insurance documents and providing service to our crop insurance clients. Raychelle had 14 years of office experience prior to coming to BIA. She and her husband Mark have two children, Tricia and Tyler. Raychelle and her family reside northeast of Wheeler where they operate a family cash crop and hog farm. Raychelle enjoys being involved in FFA and the Gratiot County Fair For Youth with her children and spending time with her family.
KATIE
SQUANDA, FINANCE MANAGER
Katie joined Breckenridge Insurance Agency in 2015. In 2016 she received her BBA with a major in Accounting from SVSU. Katie grew up and continues to live in Breckenridge. In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with her family. Katie has joined Breckenridge Insurance Agency full time, as the in-house accountant.
KELLY
PACKARD, FARM, COMMERCIAL AND LIFE AGENT
Kelly has been with Breckenridge Insurance Agency since 2006. She earned her Property and Casualty license in 2011 and her Life license in 2012. Kelly has her BBA in Finance from Davenport University. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling and camping. Kelly is also an active member for the Gleaner/Plank Road Arbor, serving as Vice President.
BRETT
ANDERSON, CROP INSURANCE AGENT (SPARTA)
Brett has lived in Sparta his entire life. He obtained his B.A. from Calvin College and was employed by GreenStone FCS for 4 years as a loan officer. Brett joined Breckenridge Insurance Agency in 2007 and is licensed under the Federal Crop Insurance Program. Brett is currently a board member of the Michigan State Horticultural Society and is Treasurer of the Michigan Pomester Association. He was born and raised on an apple farm on the "Ridge" and works the farm with his father. Brett is married to Traci and they have four sons.
MELISSA
JOHNSON, CROP INSURANCE AGENT (HOLLAND)
Melissa has been working in the crop insurance industry specializing in fruit for over eight years. She grew up on a row crop farm south of Lansing where her Dad and brother still farm today. Melissa has been actively involved in agriculture, participating in FFA and 4-H prior to college. She attended Michigan State University and received a bachelor's degree in Agribusiness Management. Post-college she worked in commodity analysis for Kraft Foods in Chicago, IL as well as purchasing for Gordon Food Service. Melissa enjoys crop insurance and how it ties into the commodity marketing risk management aspect of farming.
MATT
EVERS, CROP INSURANCE AGENT (MARTIN)
Matt was raised on family dairy farm in Martin, Michigan. He attended Kalamazoo Christian High school and graduated from Calvin College with a BA in business. Matt joined the family farm in 1993 and expanded operations to include custom calf raising and poultry operations. Matt coaches high school track and his wife Kristin coaches middle school soccer and track. Their family is very involved in 4-H and their church, Northpoint CRC. They also run a small specialty crop business growing 30-40 acres of sweet corn and pumpkins. Matt worked for Greenstone FCS in 2006 as a crop insurance specialist and joined Breckenridge Insurance Agency in 2011.
JESSICA
GODLEY, VP OF AGRICULTURAL SERVICES, CROP INSURANCE AND LGM AGENT
Jessica grew up on a beef and cash crop farm south of Breckenridge. She graduated from Breckenridge High School and has a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business Management from Michigan State University. Jessica joined Breckenridge Insurance Agency in October 2011. Jessica previously worked for grain and chemical/fertilizer companies as well as a large agricultural financial institution before coming to work with BIA. Jessica will be primarily working as a crop insurance agent with the federal crop insurance program. She has over 8 years experience as an agent with the program, working directly with farmers to provide the best risk management program for their farms.
BETTY
HYDE, CROP INSURANCE AGENT (MONTCALM COUNTY)
Betty was raised on a family dairy farm in southwest Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2003 with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture and Natural Resources Communications. Betty and her husband Shaun are raising their two children on a family dairy farm in Montcalm County, where they raise registered Holstiens and Jersey cattle. Betty joined Breckenridge Insurance in 2012 as a crop insurance agent and processor. She comes to us with five years experience as a crop insurance agent.
JED
EISENBERGER, VP OF INSURANCE SERVICES, CROP, PROPERTY, CASUALTY AND FARM AGENT
Jed was raised in a rural farm community in Isabella County. He was an active member of 4-H while growing up and graduated from Shepherd High School in 1999. Jed obtained an Associates Degree from Delta College in 2002 and came to Breckenridge Insurance Agency in 2013 after having been a crop adjuster. He is a licensed property and casualty and crop insurance agent. He lives in rural Isabella County with his wife and 3 children. Jed's main focus at Breckenridge Insurance Agency is writing new farm, commercial and crop business.
MIKE
LOOMIS, FARM, COMMERCIAL & LIFE AGENT
Mike joined the agency in 2017 and became licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance in 2017 and Life and Health Insurance in 2018. He grew up in Ithaca and graduated from Ithaca High School. Mike graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. Prior to joining Breckenridge Insurance Agency Mike worked in sales in the mid-Michigan area. In his spare time Mike enjoys camping, hunting, fishing riding motorcycles, and spending time with his dog Dexter.
SAMANTHA
PACKARD, CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
Samantha joined Breckenridge Insurance Agency as the Receptionist in 2016. Prior to joining the BIA staff Sam worked at Sprint as a Retail Sales Consultant. Sam graduated from Mid-Michigan Community College in 2011 with a degree in Business Administration. Samantha is a Gratiot County native, growing up in St. Louis. She now lives in Breckenridge with her husband Kyle and son Gavin. In her free time Samantha enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time at the beach.
JASON
WHITING, COMMERCIAL & PERSONAL LINES AGENT
Jason started at our agency in 2016. He brings over 20 years of experience as a personal and commercial lines insurance agent. Jason was from Breckenridge, and is a graduate of Breckenridge High School. He went on to play football and graduating from Olivet College. After graduation he started as an underwriter for Auto Owners Insurance, and then moved to being a claims adjuster. He became a property and casualty agent in 2000. Jason currently lives in Breckenridge, MI. Jason, in his free time, is the assistant varsity football coach, and the junior varsity track field event coach at Bath High School. Jason enjoys spending his free time with his daughters and family.
